Spil Games has a track record in building, engaging, and entertaining millions of visitors on our cross platform gaming destinations worldwide. We are always looking for ways to innovate and grow our business.
For 2014 we set ambitious goals to grow our off-portal engagement, traffic, and revenue beyond our own gaming platforms by developing a publisher ecosystem. Spil Games will act as a broker between game developers, (game) publishers, and advertisers, offering a state-of-the-art solution that enables all partners to generate traffic, gameplays, valuable data insights, and revenue via in-game advertising.
Spil Games is looking for a Director to lead and build this Game Publisher Platform. In this role you’ll:
Build the product and business from scratch!
Create a group of loyal game publishers to work with
Make an impact by substantially growing Spil Games' reach outside our own platforms
Generate a serious revenue stream for Spil Games
Manage your own P&L

You will do this by:
Deal-closing, partnership and business development with (Game) publishers;
Relationship development with our worldwide community of (Game) publishers;
Defining and prioritizing the product roadmap for our game publisher ecosystem based on publishers' needs and business impact;
Growing and managing a small team of account managers; and
Working with all relevant departments within Spil Games (including Business Development, Finance, the Game Studio, Advertising Sales & Technology) to generate consensus and execute key initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study; Master's or MBA is a plus
5–8 years of business development experience, with a proven track record of sourcing, structuring and executing strategic partnerships and deal-making within the online/casual/mobile gaming industry
Demonstrable network within the international (indie) game developer and (game) publishers community with a specific focus on Mobile gaming
Proven track record in building online products (i.e. product management, creating roadmaps and working with development teams)
Good understanding of the technical foundations of mobile gaming and monetization strategies (preferably advertising models)
Experience working in international companies/environments
Must be autonomous, self-sufficient, and proactive
A hands-on mentality and results-driven attitude; must be organized, detail-oriented, and tenacious
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; exceptional team player
Although comfortable working remotely and across multiple divisions within a company, someone should be willing to relocate to Hilversum - Spil Games HQ in the Netherlands.
