European Sales Director Sole Technology - Amsterdam



Job Description


The European Sales Director will direct and coordinate all EMEA sales activities ensuring efficient sales operations and excellent management of sales staff, as well as managing overall relationships with key European retailers and distributors with the goal to achieve and exceed set Sole Technology Europe's sales targets and KPI’s.

Responsabilities include:
  • Developing strategic sales plans to increase sales volume and provide foundation for future growth for the  EMEA region
  • Conducting economic surveys of foreign  countries to locate markets for products and services
  • Formulate and implement sales calendar based on strategic sales plan and forecasts, budgets, policies and procedures
  • Manage the sales department consisting of sales managers, sales support staff as well as country managers
  • Work with sales managers and country  managers to set annual brand and category sales forecasts.  Analyze sales reports on a regular basis and evaluate actual sales forecasts
    Develop, review and evaluate 2-5 year sales plans
  • Review market  analyses and make recommendations on price structure, discount rates and
    all other sales KPI’s
  • Work closely with the marketing department  ensuring an integrated sales and marketing approach to the market
  • Work closely with the finance  department ensuring meeting sales related KPI’s as well as dealing with collection issues with major distributors and key retailers
  • Work closely with internal departments  to ensure excellent order management and delivery
  • Develop, implement and enforce all sales department policies and procedures internally and externally.  Ensure compliance of these policies and  procedures

Desired Skills & Experience

  • At  least 5 years experience as a European based Sales Director in a global brand company from one of  the following industries: Action Sports, General Sports Footwear, Street wear / Fashion Apparel or Footwear preferably in a multi-brand environment
  • Proven commercial track record
  • Team builder with strong people management skills
  • College level degree in Business, preferably a Masters
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and preferably at least one other European
    language
  • Excellent presentation skills.
